Description
The City of Hayward is hiring a Supervising Building Inspector to supervise and coordinate the Building Division’s inspection section, provide technical guidance, establish inspection priorities, assist with complex field issues, support staff development and performance management, and serve as Acting City Building Official when needed. The role requires knowledge of California building, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes, five years of relevant inspection experience including two years of lead or direct supervision, a valid California driver’s license, and two or more ICC combination certifications.
