Description
The City of San José is hiring one full-time Supervising Environmental Services Specialist for the Integrated Waste Management Division’s Solid Waste Program Performance team. The role supervises a team of seven, including three direct reports, and leads strategic planning, recycling-contamination reduction initiatives, grant management, contract planning, budgeting, project management, data analytics, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree and four years of increasingly responsible environmental program experience, including two years leading people or projects; a master’s degree may substitute one year of experience, and additional experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree. The position requires 40 hours per week, with 32 hours onsite and up to eight hours remote, and pays $129,926.16–$158,383.68.
