Description
The Supervisory Committee is a volunteer, unpaid role responsible for overseeing the credit union’s board of directors and management, including financial reporting objectives, safeguarding members’ assets, internal controls, accounting records, financial reports, policies, and fraud-prevention procedures. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have an IFCU account, or be willing to obtain one. The role requires attending approximately 1-2-hour quarterly meetings, with remote or virtual attendance possible in special occasions, and confidentiality of business, members, and data. The term is three years.
