Description

The Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Assistant Fire Helicopter Supervisor) leads a Helitack Crew and performs administrative program management, aviation safety, fire-behavior, topography, weather, fuels, and training functions. The role plans, coordinates, and directs helicopter operations, recommends tactical strategies, and may require on-call, evening, weekend, holiday, overtime, shift, overnight travel, and backcountry work. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, meet IFPM and NWCG incident-management qualifications, hold the required experience, pass background, drug, medical, and work-capacity testing, and maintain a valid driver's license. The position is a primary firefighter role with a maximum entry age of 37 and a mandatory retirement age of 57.
