Description
The Supervisory Wildland Firefighter (Assistant IHC Superintendent) is a primary, rigorous wildland fire-suppression role with the US Wildland Fire Service. Duties include administrative program management, crew supervision and mentoring, fireline resource planning, tactical suppression direction, and field strategy implementation. The position requires U.S. citizenship or nationality, federal employment suitability, a valid driver's license, physical and medical examinations, and completion of specified NWCG incident-management qualifications. It is a primary firefighter position with a maximum entry age of 37, requires at least one year of specialized experience at the GW-07 level or higher, and may require travel up to 75% of the time, on-call work, and backcountry camping.
