Description
ABB is hiring an onsite Material Development Engineer for its Distribution Solutions division in China. The role develops, verifies, and approves materials for new product projects, including design-for-manufacturability analysis, supplier process and quality planning, technical issue resolution, material selection, documentation, and cost-reduction coordination. It requires a bachelor’s degree in materials, mechanical, or electrical engineering, experience in material development or supplier quality management, strong technical and project-management skills, and familiarity with CAD, PLM/ERP, and quality tools such as PPAP, FAI, Control Plans, FMEA, and 8D.
