Google is hiring a Supplier Development Engineer to evaluate product designs, establish manufacturing processes and procedures, and partner with vendors to ensure controlled and repeatable component fabrication. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing quality, yield, cost, reliability, and supply predictability, while identifying manufacturability issues and supporting process capability studies. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience, 10 years of manufacturing experience, 8 years of people management experience, and experience with surface finishing, CNC, 3D printing, PVD, painting, metal injection molding, polishing, lapping, and mechanical bonding.
