Shield AI is hiring a Supplier Development Engineer to lead the technical development, industrialization, qualification, and performance improvement of suppliers manufacturing large welded structures, sheet-metal components, and complex aerospace assemblies. The role assesses supplier capabilities, conducts manufacturing readiness and process audits, supports tooling and production ramp-up, resolves welding, forming, dimensional, and assembly issues, and leads supplier recovery and alternate-source initiatives. It requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, at least seven years of supplier development or manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or a highly regulated environment, strong welding and aerospace quality knowledge, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
