Xometry is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supplier Development Engineer to join their team. This role involves developing and engaging production partners, optimizing supplier performance, managing risks, and ensuring partners are prepared for complex, high-stakes projects. The engineer will build strong relationships with manufacturing partners, coach them on industry best practices, and support their readiness for highly regulated programs in industries like aerospace, defense, and medical. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, assessing new partner capabilities, flagging potential risks, and assisting in root-cause analysis of late shipments. Additionally, the engineer will support the qualification of finishing suppliers, assist partners in pursuing special process qualifications, oversee verification of controlled processes, and help identify and address compliance requirements.
