Description
SpaceX is hiring a Supplier Development Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering to support its Starship program. The role owns supplier technical performance and new product introduction for rocket parts and assemblies, including manufacturing method selection, supplier qualification, design-for-manufacturing reviews, quality requirements, root-cause problem solving, containment, and production ramp-up. It requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, at least one year of manufacturing or inspection experience with mechanical products, strong knowledge of propulsion/fluid-system fabrication and forming, machining, welding, GD&T, supplier quality systems, PPAP/APQP, statistical methods, and ERP/MRP systems. The role requires 40–50% travel and may require extended hours.
