SpaceX is hiring a Supplier Development Engineer, PCBA (Starlink) to manage supplier continuity, quality, cost, delivery, and capacity for photonic piece-part components and optical subassemblies used in Starlink satellites. The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers; sources and onboards suppliers; defines technical and quality requirements; leads PPAP and supplier quality resolution; and drives process and cost improvements. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in engineering, relevant photonics, electronics, wire bonding, active alignment, fiber splicing, or PCBA manufacturing experience, and at least three years of supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, or design engineering experience. The position may require up to 60% travel and extended hours, and offers a base salary of $100,000–$135,000 for Level 1 or $115,000–$165,000 for Level 2, along with medical, vision, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
