Description
The Supplier Development Engineer - Temporary manages supplier selection, qualification, development, and performance for American Battery Solutions’ component supply base. The role partners with component, quality, manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams to improve cost competitiveness, quality, capacity, delivery, and compliance with TS 16949, ISO 9001, and other standards. Responsibilities include supplier audits, APQP and PPAP support, root-cause analysis, supplier scorecards, new-product launches, continuous improvement, and reporting. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, at least five years of experience managing a certified quality management system, at least four years of continuous quality improvement experience in manufacturing, and experience with large OEM suppliers; automotive, battery, electronics, or powertrain experience is preferred.
