Description
The Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a liaison among quality, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to resolve supplier quality issues, provide technical support, and manage supplier performance. The role audits supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems, stops production or shipments when necessary, coordinates corrective actions, maintains quality records, reviews supplier quality plans, and supports environmental and sustainable-process objectives. Candidates need at least four years of manufacturing, quality, or engineering experience, proficiency with quality and engineering software, strong analytical and communication skills, and knowledge of supplier quality standards, FMEA, and control plans.
