Description

VERSANT is hiring an L3 Automation and Cloud Specialist Support Engineer to provide advanced L3 support for media, cloud, automation, storage, and enterprise systems while contributing DevOps engineering. The role troubleshoots complex service, integration, networking, storage, and performance issues across Linux/Unix, macOS, and Windows; supports MAM/PAM and media systems; builds automation for provisioning, configuration, patching, deployment, and monitoring; develops scripts and infrastructure configurations; and participates in incident response, root-cause analysis, change management, and technical documentation. The position requires onsite weekend and off-hours coverage for planned maintenance and production needs.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, platform support, media technology, or advanced technical support.
Hands-on automation and configuration-management experience with Terraform, Ansible, Jamf, Munki, and Chocolatey.
Experience supporting MAM/PAM or media workflow platforms; familiarity with Avid Interplay, Fonn Mimir, and Avid MediaCentral UX is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in broadcast, streaming, newsroom, post-production, or media supply-chain environments.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting platforms, virtualization, containers, and IT service-management processes.
Experience modernizing legacy workflows, integrating enterprise platforms, or leading vendor troubleshooting calls during critical events.
