Description

The Salvation Army is hiring a Support Worker for the Victoria A.R.C. Front Desk and Attendant functions. The role receives and registers clients and visitors, operates a switchboard, manages mail, access, sign-in/out, intake, payments, medication access, records, resident support, building rounds and bed checks, safety and security monitoring, incident and maintenance reporting, light janitorial work, and occasional training of casual support workers. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably office administration or customer service training, training in conflict management, addictions and mental health, at least six months of related experience (two years preferred), computer and typing skills, a valid Class 5 driver's licence, an active Occupational First Aid Certificate, communication and conflict-resolution skills, and the ability to remain calm and culturally sensitive. The target pay range is CAD 26.95–27.45 per hour, with a maximum of CAD 27.95 per hour.
