Western Surety Company is hiring a Surety Underwriter for its Regina team to underwrite contract and commercial surety bonds for the construction industry. The role involves pre-qualifying businesses, maintaining underwriting policies and procedures, serving internal and external stakeholders, supporting policy and business matters, and developing relationships with brokers and contractors. Candidates should have a post-secondary degree in commerce or business administration, preferably accounting or finance, analytical financial-review skills, communication and problem-solving abilities, and 2–3 years of related experience; surety, financial institution, or construction experience is preferred.
