Description
The Certified Surgical Technician assists physicians during surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Responsibilities include setting up and organizing surgical rooms, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, performing scrub duties, passing instruments, suturing, holding retractors, processing tissue samples, transporting patients and specimens, assisting with patient transfers and stabilization, maintaining patient confidentiality, and supporting patient care and departmental performance improvement.
