Description
The Surgery Scheduler serves as a liaison among patients, physicians, referring providers, and surgical facilities, coordinating pre- and post-operative appointments, completing pre-operative forms, documenting encounters, identifying scheduling conflicts, notifying patients of appointments, and answering inquiries. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, medical terminology knowledge, ICD-10 and CPT code knowledge, computer literacy, and scheduling or medical office experience; medical assistant certification and BLS certification are preferred or required depending on the candidate's status.
