Description
The Surgical Assistant provides direct and indirect patient care, assists surgeons and other healthcare providers during operative procedures, supports acutely ill patients and emergency situations, collaborates with nurses and anesthesia staff, participates in complex cases and PI projects, and orients new team members. The role requires an associate degree or certificate, graduation from an accredited surgical assistant or CAAHEP-accredited program, current CPR certification, and two years of clinical Surgical Assistant experience is preferred.
