Description
The Surgical Technologist assists the surgical team in the operating room and related areas by scrubbing, handling instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, preparing equipment, cleaning and restocking the OR, transporting and positioning patients, and supporting second-circulator duties. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, surgical technician training or an accredited program, and preferably certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists and one to two years of experience.
