Description
The Surgical Technologist performs duties under direct supervision in the operating room and related areas, including scrubbing, handling surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, preparing equipment, cleaning and restocking the OR, transporting and positioning patients, and assisting with patient care and surgical procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, surgical technician training or an accredited program, and preferably certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists and one to two years of surgical technician experience.
