Description
The Surgical Technologist performs technical functions to assist in patient care within the operating room or other hospital areas. The role primarily works in the scrub position during surgical procedures, providing sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment to registered nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, surgical technology education or an alternative education and experience pathway, and current CPR certification; surgical technologist certification is strongly preferred.
