Description
The Surgical Technologist assists healthcare providers in the operating room and other hospital areas by performing scrub duties, maintaining sterile supplies and equipment, and supporting surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia staff. The role also includes orienting and training new team members, participating in complex cases, and driving PI projects to completion. A high school diploma or GED is required, with surgical technology education preferred, and certification through the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist or the National Center for Competency Testing is required or preferred.
