Description
The Surgical Technologist prepares and organizes operating rooms, assembles instruments and supplies, maintains sterile conditions, assists surgeons during procedures, participates in instrument and sponge counts, preserves specimens, and supports wound care and other clinical procedures. The role reports to the Surgical Nurse Manager, requires a surgical technologist program and BLS certification, and prefers NBSTA certification and prior experience, although new graduates may be considered.
