Description
The Surgical Technologist assists in providing nursing care and preparing surgical patients in the Operating Room, functioning as a member of the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include preparing and passing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, assisting with patient positioning and specimen collection, and supporting overall OR efficiency. The role requires adherence to established protocols, continuous learning, and active participation in training new surgical technologists.
