Unity Hospital is hiring a per diem Surgical Technologist for its Operating Room in Rochester, New York. The role prepares and checks instruments and supplies, sets up sterile fields, assists with patient draping, passes instruments to the surgeon, performs sponge and sharp counts, prepares instruments for sterilization, supports specialty services, and may handle medications, sharps, and syringes on the sterile field. Candidates must meet one of several surgical technology or nursing qualification pathways, including CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited program completion and certification, practical nursing graduation, or grandfathering and hard-to-fill clauses. The pay range is $28.05-$34.17, with day, evening, and night shifts available.
