Description
The Scrub Technologist performs sterile surgical preparation, instrument setup and counting, equipment checks, patient-site preparation, wound irrigation, specimen transfer, and postoperative assistance under surgeon and registered nurse supervision. The role also includes maintaining aseptic technique, supporting case turnover, cleaning and processing instruments, and participating in emergency and educational activities. A high school diploma or GED is required, an associate degree in Surgical Technology is preferred, and certification as a surgical technologist is highly recommended within two years of hire.
