Timmons Group is hiring a Survey Instrument Operator for its Survey Group in Staunton, Virginia. The role supports land surveyors and party chiefs by collecting boundary, topographic, location, and design survey data; operating robotic total stations, levels, GPS receivers, and data collectors; performing construction stakeout; maintaining instruments, equipment, supplies, and vehicles; and recording survey measurements. It is an outdoor field position requiring travel at times, a driver’s license, physical ability to carry up to 50 pounds over varied terrain, and knowledge of survey drawings, trigonometry, geometry, and field problem-solving. The estimated compensation is $21-$29 per hour plus overtime eligibility.
