Description
The Surveyor I is an entry-level marine surveying role for new graduates or candidates with fewer than five years of relevant experience. Under the guidance of an experienced ABS Surveyor, the position performs routine surveys and inspections of classed vessels, platforms, marine structures, and manufacturers for classification and statutory compliance. Responsibilities include preparing accurate survey reports, maintaining files, communicating with clients, applying ABS rules and regulations, reading engineering plans, understanding shipbuilding practices and vessel machinery, and working safely in physically demanding marine and industrial environments.
