Description

The Sustainability Project Engineer will serve as an on-site sustainability representative for commercial construction projects, coordinating with project teams, design professionals, clients, and trade partners. The role oversees subcontractor and vendor work, supports system startup and commissioning, reviews construction documents and submittals, manages RFIs and change documents, conducts field surveys, and prepares project documentation. Sustainability responsibilities include LEED and other certification support, embodied carbon and environmental performance tracking, waste diversion, energy-efficient systems, renewable energy, water conservation, and sustainable materials research. The position is fully project-site based and requires a high school diploma or GED, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience, at least three years of commercial building experience, and LEED accreditation or the ability to become accredited within 18 months.
