Description
DigitalOcean is hiring a Sustaining Engineer to support the operational lifecycle of its server fleet, including hardware, cabling, networking, firmware, troubleshooting, monitoring, alerting, tooling, and runbooks. The role reports to the Manager of Infra::Machines::Design, participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation, escalates issues to Datacenter and Cloud Operations, and collaborates with Qualification, Firmware, Fleet Lifecycle Engineering, Foresight, and Infrastructure Services teams. Candidates should have a technical degree or equivalent practical experience, hands-on cloud infrastructure experience, and strong knowledge of server hardware, firmware, troubleshooting, Python, and BASH. The position is hybrid and offers a base salary of $83,200 to $104,000.
