Description
The Ophthalmic Technician provides clinical support to a Doctor of Optometry, improving exam efficiency and patient experience. The role includes refraction, tonometry, auto-refractor and visual acuity testing, blood pressure measurement, lensometry, visual field testing, fundus photography, OCT testing, eye drop instillation, case history review, clinic preparation, and communication with retail office management and staff. The position reports to the Professional Services Department and requires computer proficiency, healthcare protocol knowledge, professional communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and teamwork.
