Fundamental is hiring its first software engineer for its Research team to own and evolve the core codebase supporting large-scale tabular model development. The role focuses on building fast, robust, production-ready infrastructure, improving research workflows, establishing software engineering and testing practices, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with research scientists. Candidates need at least five years of software engineering experience, strong Python and PyTorch expertise, and experience with modern machine learning and cloud infrastructure.
