Description
The Swim Coach prepares and leads swim practice sessions, builds swimmers’ confidence and technical skills, supports participation in local swim meets, maintains attendance and registration records, communicates with parents, monitors equipment and safety, and follows YMCA emergency and child-abuse-prevention procedures. The role requires Red Cross or equivalent swim-coach training, YMCA program-specific training, at least 18 years of age, six months or two seasons of related aquatic-programming experience, and technically correct swimming skills. Starting pay is $17.82 per hour, with flexible schedules and other YMCA benefits.
