Description
The West Suburban YMCA is hiring experienced Swim Instructors for its Church St and Wells Ave locations. The role provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes, prepares lesson plans, maintains records, follows safety procedures, and may supervise class aides. Applicants must be at least 15, hold CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications, demonstrate YMCA swim-instructor skills, and preferably hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard or YMCA Swim Instructor certification. Starting pay is $15.50, dependent on experience, certifications, and education.
