Description
The Lifeguard at the Plattsburgh YMCA supports the Y’s youth development and community programs by maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas; instructing participants in YMCA Aquatics programs; setting up and storing equipment; following emergency procedures; enforcing safety rules; and maintaining positive relationships with participants, parents, nonclass members, and staff. The role requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, hold current YMCA Swim Lessons or American Red Cross certification, and be willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. The stated salary is $20.00 per hour.
