Description
The Mystic Valley YMCA Aquatics Department is hiring a part-time Swim Coach for its regional swim team serving swimmers ages 6 through 18. The role involves instructing stroke techniques, planning and supervising workouts, monitoring pool activities and safety, evaluating performance, supporting team spirit, and attending scheduled meets and events. The coach must be available for up to three practices per week and one weekend meet per month, and should hold or obtain YMCA and USA Swimming coaching certifications, CPR/First Aid, and lifeguard or safety training. Current Lifeguard/First Aid certification, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and willingness to obtain USA Swimming certification within one month are required; two years of YMCA or USA Swimming coaching experience is preferred.
