Description
The Swine Specialist provides daily care and production support for swine on a farm, including feeding and watering animals, cleaning and disinfecting pens, identifying and moving animals, assisting with farrowing, caring for piglets, administering vaccinations, monitoring breeding and estrus, artificially inseminating sows, maintaining records, following biosecurity and hygiene protocols, monitoring ventilation, and performing minor equipment and facility repairs. The role is full time at 45 hours per week, requires constant standing, walking, handling, and frequent lifting, and includes attendance at meetings and trainings.
