Description
The Switchboard Operator handles patient and guarantor communications, directs calls to appropriate resources, receives and balances payments, negotiates full payment, sets up payment arrangements, reviews owed balances, updates patient demographics, and maintains phone numbers. The role requires knowledge of revenue-cycle workflows, EHR systems, medical terminology, hospital billing, and accounts receivable, along with strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
