Description
The Instructional Coach works one-on-one and in small groups with teachers to provide guidance, training, and resources focused on research-based student-engagement strategies. The role supports school-wide implementation of Common Core and ACT College Readiness Standards, curriculum frameworks, professional development, learning plans, classroom observations, data analysis, and teacher feedback. The coach also collaborates with principals and deans on academic goals, presents at educator conferences, and reports to the school principal. Requirements include at least four years of teaching experience at Levels 4–5, adult-teacher presentation experience, knowledge of adult learning theory, strong content knowledge and pedagogy, and familiarity with GLOE, curriculum frameworks, and state standards.
