Description
The SYSDEV Engineer II will bridge physical security hardware with firmware, network infrastructure, and server platforms across AWS’s global data center fleet. The role develops and validates embedded firmware, defines system-level interfaces and network connectivity, designs integration patterns, executes system-level testing, supports product qualification, and collaborates with hardware, security operations, infrastructure, networking, and software teams. It requires infrastructure automation, Linux/Unix, CI/CD, systems engineering, and troubleshooting experience, with preferred distributed systems and physical security experience. The position is available in Austin, Texas; Herndon, Virginia; and Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of $129,200 to $174,800 annually.
