AWS is hiring a System Development Engineer to design, implement, deploy, and improve software components supporting AWS machine learning services for U.S. government customers. The role involves Linux and networking fundamentals, software development in languages such as Java or Python, systems engineering, automation, development, operations, code reviews, testing-process improvements, and training teammates. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or CSSLP, at least three years of professional software development experience, systems engineering and networking experience, programming experience, and an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position is based in Arlington, Virginia, with a base salary of $129,200 to $174,800 annually.
