Description
The Systems Development Engineer will design, build, and operate scalable solutions that improve the security and efficiency of Amazon's data center security operations. The role brings agentic AI and automation to manual workflows, partners with experienced engineers to strengthen tools and maintain high-availability services, builds metrics and monitoring, troubleshoots defects, and handles incoming system and service tickets. The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science discipline, programming experience with a modern language, and experience with automation tools. Preferred qualifications include distributed systems, CI/CD, computer science fundamentals, and generative AI experience. The role is based in Herndon, Virginia, with a base salary of $99,100 to $160,000 annually.
