Trimble is hiring a Senior System Design Engineer for its Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies division in Dayton, Ohio. The role designs and integrates machine control systems for earthmoving and paving equipment, including system architecture, electronics hardware, communication networks, interfaces, safety concepts, and V-model verification. The engineer will collaborate with marketing, engineering, and machine OEM teams, lead complex technical problems, mentor junior engineers, and travel less than 25%, including internationally. The position requires a relevant engineering degree, at least five years of embedded product development experience, and at least three years developing functionally safe products, with a salary range of $115,600 to $158,900 and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
