Description
Wabtec is hiring a permanent Rail Engineering Specialist to serve as the technical interface for customers and internal stakeholders on rail products and equipment. The role translates customer requirements into engineering specifications, supports issue resolution and safety cases, maintains technical documentation and bills of materials, assesses feasibility and fleet needs, manages spare parts and obsolescence, and supports onsite service, tenders, upgrades, and project delivery. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering field, at least five years of rail or heavy-industry equipment experience, ERP/MRP and obsolescence-management knowledge, strong communication and analytical skills, cross-functional experience, onsite and travel flexibility, and fluency in German and English. Visa sponsorship is not offered.
