Description
Versant Power is hiring a System Operator NERC to maintain and operate its electrical transmission and distribution systems from the System Operations/Hampden Operations Center. The role includes monitoring SCADA and GIS/Power On systems, preparing FERC and NERC reports, correcting unscheduled system problems, coordinating with ISO-NE and other utilities, dispatching outages, and following safety and environmental procedures. The position requires an associate degree in electrical power or equivalent education and experience, two years of technical experience, rotating 12-hour shifts including nights, and a valid Maine Class C driver's license. Pay is listed under the applicable collective bargaining agreement, with SO-A at $134,153.66, SO-B at $126,600.41, SO-C at $113,744.30, and SO-D at $100,888.19.
