Open Cosmos is hiring a System Performance & Modelling Engineer to develop high-fidelity simulation environments and models for LEO satellite communication systems. The role covers link performance, constellation coverage, network behaviour, capacity, latency, throughput, reliability, stochastic analysis, link budgets, performance margins, trade studies, resource management, and operational resilience. Candidates need strong system-level modelling knowledge, simulation and scripting skills in tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C++, and familiarity with orbital dynamics, radiometric analysis, and communication network performance. The position is based in any of the company’s locations and requires the legal right to work in the chosen location.
