System Product Design Engineer - Interconnect at Apple

Apple is hiring an Interconnect Design Engineer to help create next-generation devices by designing customized high-speed and high-power interconnects, wireless interfaces, and charging accessories. The role works with cross-functional teams across industrial design, hardware engineering, signal integrity, antenna, reliability, packaging, safety, and marketing, and requires experience with inductive power transfer, coils, magnetic materials, antenna design, permanent magnets, overseas manufacturing, 3D CAD, mechanical design, design for manufacturability, tolerance analysis, and technical communication. The position requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, international travel of at least 20%, and offers preferred experience in consumer electronics, connector design, ingress protection, corrosion, signal integrity, and high-volume manufacturing.
