Systems Administrator / IT Security Officer at U.S. Courts

The United States Probation Department for the Eastern District of New York is hiring a full-time Systems Administrator/IT Security Officer to administer court systems, deploy and patch hardware and software, remediate vulnerabilities, monitor networks, support end users, develop security policies, conduct audits and disaster-recovery testing, and maintain backups. The role requires two years of specialized experience or a master's degree, experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, GPOs, and Windows servers, and occasional travel between Brooklyn and Central Islip, New York. A valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; a ten-year background investigation is required for employment.
