Description
Ford Motor Company is hiring a Software Engineer for its Software Quality Assurance organization to lead early defect detection and prevention, software design reviews, failure-mode analysis, warranty and field-data analysis, and quality-process improvements across automotive software. The role also involves coaching engineering teams on ISO 26262 and ASPICE practices and communicating complex software issues to engineering and executive leadership. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education and experience, at least 10 years of automotive software engineering experience, and expertise in defect prevention, design reviews, FMA, functional safety, and embedded C/C++ or AUTOSAR development. The position is hybrid, offers a base salary of $115,000-$192,900, and does not provide visa sponsorship.
